Currently loving...

Make up brush holder| Store 21
I thought I would do a post on some of the bits which I am currently loving this January . So first in my list is this  make up brush holder which is from store 21. I think the design is really pretty and has a "shabby chic" feel to it, its great for holding all the tiny bits that look messy in your room.

Skinny dip bronzer| Bare minerals
I know its weird looking at bronzer in the middle of December as whilst everyone is after rosy winter cheeks I'm happy with a winter glow. I love this colour because this colour isn't at all orange as some bronzer's are, but a beautiful natural tone .  One of my favourite things about this is although its quite expensive there is actually a decent amount of bronzer in the pallet so it is really long lasting.

Lipstick| Estee lauder
I love purple shades this winter  although I shy away from some of the darker purple shades I think the more subtle colours are absolutely stunning and plan to wear them until the spring arrives and I have an excuse to wear some more bright pink lipsticks

Although I haven't yet tried this, its something I am loving the idea of. I cant wait to try "scratch and stamp nail art as I love some of the results and pictures online so I thought I would include it in this results.

Nail stamping| Konad/ Moyou
I need to order some new stamps as the ones I ordered from Amazon turned out to be from a fake company but I really look forward to trying nail stamping this year. My cousin has been raving about them and after watching demonstrations on Camden market I found I could get the components a lot cheaper online so I am going to try to master this in the new year.

Its the most wonderful time of the year

I'm counting down the days to Christmas (16 days to go!) and I am getting more and more excitable as they pass. Everyone should act like a child at Christmas time, however I probably shouldn't quite be as the Christmas shopping hasn't quite yet been done. My excitement for Christmas was accentuated on a visit to Van Hages it was literally like being inside Santa's grotto. Visiting Van Hages has become a little family tradition and we have been going their since I can remember. Although we don't visit Father Christmas any more a walk around and an ice skate are perfect to get you in a Christmassy mood.
I had the opportunity to buy a beautiful red poinsettia which I think can really brighten up the dull Christmas days. Each year at Van Hages we also buy a Christmas decoration this year we brought a pair of ice skates which are now on the tree and I will include in a Christmas decoration post later this month.

I could have spent hours looking round the beautiful displays and If I had the time I definitely would. I don't think Christmas would be the same without ice skating and there are so many amazing places to go last year I got the chance to go to Cardiff winter wonderland and the year before we got to go to summer set house and hopefully each December I will get the chance to go somewhere new. I actually really like the idea of ice skating in the evening, I can't help but find the idea of a moonlit skate quite fairytale like.

Bedroom decoration

I spent this weekend painting, decorating and accessorising  my room. As I live in a loft room its always really difficult to get furniture to fit into the nooks and crannies but I was really happy with the result.

The colour I chose was so different to the bright pink that caked my walls before its called  Dragonfly and it really fulfils the shabby chic design I was aiming for.

The bedding is from argos and was on sale, even though I have a single bed I purchased double bedding as I wanted it to hang over the side and hide the mess below.

The boxes are from store 21 and have different interiors, and the top one is a jewellery box. I think I may use the bottom one for scarves and the middle one for make up.
The mirror in the background is from homebase.

I brought the vintage style sewing box off ebay and I think its really unique and it is great for keeping all the ribbons, threads and other bits and bobs that used to find their way around my room

My dad made me the chest when I was a baby and I absolutely adore it, its so sentimental and I plan to keep it forever.

I think this light is amazing it turns on and off by a sensor, I had no clue when I bought it and ended up exchanging one at the shop as it wouldn't turn on! But I have honestly spent hours just turning
this light on and off it's like something from the future.
